The space
Eight reformers and one room
There is no second studio, no mirrored wall and no sound system worth mentioning. The room is quiet, the ceiling is high, and everything in it is there because it gets used.
The machines
Eight reformers, all the same model and all the same age, serviced on the first Monday of every month. Springs are replaced on a schedule rather than when they fail. If a machine is out of service the class runs at seven and we tell you before you arrive.
The floor
Sprung timber over a concrete slab, which is why the mat classes take fourteen and the reformer classes take eight. Fourteen on mats is a full room. Fifteen would be a compromise.
Changing and showers
Two changing rooms, one shower, lockers that take your own padlock. Most people arrive changed. There is no towel service and no scented anything.
Getting here
Street parking is free after ten and metered before it. The nearest station is a nine minute walk. There is a rack for four bicycles inside the door and a rail for more outside.
Access
The studio is on the ground floor with a level entrance and no step at the door. The changing rooms are not fully accessible, and we would rather tell you that now than after you have paid for a pack.
